You need to “own” one part of the strike zone. As a pitcher you have to dictate what the hitter’s options are. Nuke LaLouche, in “Bull Durham,” did have one thing right, and I do mean only one thing:
“Announce My Presence With Authority”.
What does that mean? Choose a part of the plate that you feel a hitter can’t handle and attack that area with your best stuff!
