Social media can be a blessing or a curse. This one was a blessing. Facebook had a photo the other day with the following quote, “Sit with winners. The conversation is different”.
Pretty profound, don’t you think?
One of the most obvious things hanging over the game of fastpitch softball is the impact of the attitude of the people involved. Whether it’s a player, coach, parent or umpire, the attitude that each brings to the field will greatly impact what happens that day. Human nature is a powerful thing and we often talk about how this fundamental trait impacts what we do on a daily basis. Well, whether we want to admit it or not, we often surround ourselves with people who are like-minded and share similar attitudes.
If we already know that we are influenced by the people we surround ourselves with, wouldn’t it be logical to surround ourselves with people who are winners? Common sense, right? We all know common sense and common practice are two really different things, so let’s choose common sense this time.
Life is loaded with choices. You can choose to be a winner, in your attitude and efforts. You can choose to surround yourself with winners. You can choose to influence others to become winners in their choices.
Or you can be a loser!
Choose!
