Podcast?

Yes, I am an old dog! I grew up in a world of four television stations, AM/FM radios and the idea of a private phone line was when your parents bought the extra long phone cord so you could take the phone around the corner or into your room to have a “private” call.

Technology is not something that I have readily embraced over my lifetime. Coach Don and I started Fastpitch Prep almost two years ago and we have both learned a lot. Some of what we have learned about technology is out of necessity but we would both admit that we still don’t know enough.

Here is the one thing I have learned:

Podcasts rock!!

When we started doing our podcast, “Everything Fastpitch by Fastpitch Prep,” I had never even listened to a podcast. I was a regular listener to “Mike and Mike” and other ESPN sports talk radio so I kept hearing about podcasts but really had no idea what they were really all about.

Here is what I learned to love about podcasts:

You can choose what you listen to and when. There is no missing the content you want to listen to because it is always available to you. Wow, now I understand why this is such a fast growing way of sharing what you have to say.

We’ve made more than 50 editions of “Everything Fastpitch.” Please take a minute and listen to an episode. It’s Coach Don and I talking about Fastpitch. Some is technical, some is opinion some is listener-driven, but it’s all fun!

You can find “Everything Fastpitch” everywhere that you can listen to podcasts. Please subscribe, rate and review. Please send us your questions, suggestions or comments. Get involved with Everything Fastpitch. You’ll be glad you did.
