So, when should I replace my old glove? Blasphemy!! Would you replace your Parents? Dog? Best friend?
Of course not!
Start to think about your glove with the same kind of commitment you have to these other important things in your life and we are gonna get along just fine! If you act like that glove that has faithfully given all it has to you and your game like it is yesterdays news and we are gonna have words!
There is an old saying about how a cat has nine loves. Start to think about your glove the same way! If you haven’t tightened or re-laced your glove at least nine times, it still has plenty of use left in it.
One of the kids who plays on our team was looking at my glove and had to ask who Cesar Cedeno is? Go ahead, ask your grandfather, he will want you to be on his trivia team this week! Why is that important? My glove is 40+ years old and still kicking!
I have easily re-laced several hundred gloves.I have tightened up a couple hundred more. Why? Because they are faithful old warriors that are dying to stay in the game. Just like Cesar Cedeno, they deserve to keep playing the game!
Glove repair isn’t usually difficult, but might require a little patience. If you don’t have patience but want to keep that beautiful old glove in the game, feel free to contact me, we can work something out!
Got a glove that needs re-lacing?
