Volume 20: Control The Tempo

Whether you are cruising or struggling. Whether it is a fast inning or a long, drawn out inning, you are in control.

How do you demonstrate that control?

You set the pace.

Get the rosin bag, pick up some dirt, touch the chalk line, take a breath, walk to the back of the circle, talk to your catcher and on and on the list goes. You should pitch when you are ready and if that means you take a little extra time, so be it.
