Championship Culture

I borrowed this list from one of the greatest mental game coaches in any sport. I have had the great opportunity to listen to Jeff Janssen several times and always came away impressed. I have all of his books in my coaching library and look back at them often. If you get the chance to listen to or read anything from Jeff, you will be a better coach because of it.

10 Things Teammates Do Not Allow Teammates To Do in a Championship Culture.

1. Cut Corners

2. Whine and Complain

3. Make Excuses

4. Act Selfishly

5. Disrespect Each Other

6. Divide the Team

7. Trash the Coaches

8. Embarrass the Program

9. Give Up

10. Let Teammates Down

This is a pretty strong list. Each of these items can be a team killer by itself. When we allow them to take place, we are allowing our team to fail.

Success is difficult to achieve. Don’t short circuit your opportunities by allowing negative behavior to kill your tea.

Thanks Jeff!!
