Performing off the field is almost as important as performing on it.
Most of my life has been consumed by being an athlete but now I’ve been given the opportunity to teach other athletes this great game, as a college softball coach. On my journey, I’ve learned many things that can benefit ball players at any level. This series is just a few of the things that have helped me as an athlete and also as a coach.
Hit the Gym
As an athlete, you’ re expected to perform on the field. Performing off the field is just as important.
Being a college athlete showed me that just being a good athlete doesn’t cut it. I learned to love the gym and the things it added to my game, as well.
For young athletes this means going beyond what your travel ball or high school coach expects. Getting in the gym can help take a good athlete to the next level and transform them into a great athlete.
